Steve Hackett at High Voltage

Got some really good photos of Steve Hackett and his band at High Voltage.

Steve's set was excellent, second only to ELP. Really would have like to have a lot more from Steve ... guess I'll just have to go to Bath when he visits in November.

I'm certain that Steve Hackett put on a wonderful show. I always loves his guitar style, when he was with Genesis. Guess I really need to check out some of his other recordings, after he split from the band.

In my opinion, (and others have stated this as well) Steve Hackett's departure from the group marked the end of the "Progressiveness" of Genesis....

Steve has a new project which hopefully will release towards the end of the year ... It's usually referred to as Squackett as it's a collaboration with bassist Chris Squire. Chris's wife came up with the working title.

Steve has, I gather, since Genesis always worked alone until this joint project. Steve did an interview in Prog Rock Mag and said the project had gone well, but Chris likes to let chosen people hear some songs pre release, Steve never does. Steve seems to have gone with Chris's requests, but has found it a little difficult.

I've only discovered Chris's solo and non Yes collaborations this year, and I love all his stuff, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Happy to share Though Mark would probably recommend you don't start me talking about Chris Squire ... I'm a big fan, so get me started and I don't shut up! ;D ;D ;D

Yes (no pun intended) , Chris Squire is a supremely talented musician.

And ya' know, all those magical "YES harmonies" are thanks to Chris Squire's choral arranging background. He's quite amazing.

Yes, I think you probably have started something ... but I'll take the Chris Squire stuff over to the Yes Board Really should only be Squackett here. lol
