Outstanding performance ;D I remember watching the "California Jam" on TV back in 1974 (I was only a young teenager at the time)... and being totally fascinated with ELP. Emerson's performances (including the spinning grand piano) were awesome.  Come to think of it, that must've been the very first exposure I had to these phenomenally talented masters fo progressive rock. I can honestly say, from that moment on... I was 100% hooked on ELP.

Someone lent me a copy of Trilogy when I was a callow 15 year old. And shortly after that I got my hands on Brain Salad Surgery and Welcome back...
And everything changed!
(Previously I was listening to 70s singles chart music)
